Martha HEITZMANN, Vice President, Research and Development
Dr. Heitzmann is Vice President, Research & Development, for Air Liquide, the world's leading supplier in gases for industry, health and environment. She defines strategic direction and leads the Group's R&D activities at the global level (5 major R&D centers, 3 continents).
Air Liquide's researchers work to improve methods of production and distribution of industrial and medical gases. They also develop new applications for gases, in industries ranging from food to photovoltaics and nano-electronics. Improving energy efficiency through process changes, and developing low-carbon energy solutions are major subjects of research.
Dr Heitzmann holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Harvard University (1996).

She has studied at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris and at Cambridge University (UK) and holds her PhD. in Economics from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
Wim VANHAVERBEKE , Professor Strategy and Innovation
Wim Vanhaverbeke is professor Strategy and Organisation at the University of Hasselt in the faculty of Business Economics. He teaches Strategy, Innovation Management, Corporate Venturing new business development and International Management.
He published in international journals as Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science and Organization Studies and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, Strategic Organization, and the International Journal of Technology Marketing.
He is co-editor with Henry Chesbrough and Joel West of Open Innovation : Researching a New Paradigm, a book about the research challenges related to Open Innovation. He is extanding research about open Innovation and open business models by setting up the European Center for Open and Collaborative Innovation and by doing joint research with different universities around the globe.
He is currently working on a book about "Managing and organizing open innovation".

Pia came to Nokia fall 2007 after working closely with Nokia as Capgemini senior consultant for more than a year.
Prior to that she worked for a start-up company in the multimedia e-learning and mixed reality domain and as a researcher in the field of Innovation and Knowledge Management (Ph.D. studies LTT Research Ltd + special studies in at the University of California, Haas School of Management). Pia teaches in the University of Helsinki Open University and she has been acting several times as independent expert when developing EU's IST and other research activities and evaluating research proposals. Pia's master's degree contains studies from University of Helsinki (adult education, practical philosophy), Helsinki University of Technology (corporate strategy and industrial engineering) and from University of Minnesota.

Vasu is responsible for driving “innovation” as a core process of Oracle EMEA across the Industry, Solution sales and the Consulting business units since October 2000, and chairs the Oracle EMEA Innovation Board. Dr. Eric de La Fortelle is Global Head, External Research and Technologies for Roche Pharma Partnering in Basel, Switzerland. He heads a group with a mandate to find partners, establish contract and manage global alliances with companies offering innovative technologies for every stage of product discovery, development and life cycle.
Eric is scientist by training, with contributions in the field of structure-based drug design. He has extensive experience of negotiating pharma/biotech alliances (both from the Biotech and the Pharma side). He was trained as an engineer and a physicist at Ecole Centrale de Paris, holds a PhD in Biophysics from Paris XI University, and an MBA from INSEAD.

From 2006 to 2008, Beltrametti was head of Global Technology and Offering Development (GTOD) at Xerox Global Services, a role she took on while continuing her leadership at XRCE.
XRCE's unique competencies in analysing text and images in documents are at the heart of many of the components in the ‘Smarter Document ManagementSM suite and have led to the creation of several new technology-based service offerings at Xerox and Xerox start-ups. Before I-Nova, Chris worked as a Researcher at Forrester Research, where his coverage focused on innovation management best practices at major corporations around the world.
